MOVING...WAITING...MOVING(again)...NOT MOVING (con't)

Okay, Welcome back. I left off where I was talking about how we just saved 200 bucks becuase we didn't have to pay for a tow.

Now, seeing that it was a Saturday, the dealership said that they could not do anything until Monday. except for finding out what was wrong. okay... so I told him to call me back once they figured it out.

'RIIINNNNGGG' the phone rang.
"hello?"
"Yes, Chad. This is Findlay Hyundai. We found out what is wrong with your car. The computer is coming back saying that the Crankshaft sensor is not responding, and that could mean, that it either broke, or came lose. Now that is a pretty big job. we have to tear down the engine and get behind the timing belt to get to it.. It will take us about 3 hours.
"okay... anything else?"
"Have you replaced the timing belt?"
"No, not yet."
"well, we suggest that you get that replaced too. Now you have 63000 miles and the Crankshaft sensor is not under your powertrain warrenty; so with the Timing belt and Sensor it will cost you about, including labor, about $460 plus tax."
"Now, when we bought the car, we also bought an extended bumper to bumper warrenty but we never heard anything else from corporate so we are assuming that it was taken care of..."
"Okay, we will research that and get back to you. In the meantime, do you want to have us go ahead and start on the car?"
"NO, lets hold off for now, lets make sure that we have the warrenty figured out first"

And that was that. We decided that there wasn't anything else we could do until Monday because everything would be closed til then.

Now, I told you that my family was going to be coming down this weekend. Well they were down in St. George, and would be coming up to our house once Andi (My sister) was done with her track meet. They arrived around 4 or so. which was good because we had nowhere to go, and no way to get there.

To fast forward a little bit, we had a fun time playing games with my family, and when they left reality had to set back in for the next day (Monday)

I know that I keep trying to fast forward but never really do a whole lot. But now I really am.

On monday we called Hyundai Corp. and the original dealership that sold the car to the people that we bought it from, and the Findlay dealer. We fought long and hard, but in the long run, we lost the battle, and had to pay for it out of pocket. However, we did get a discount. We called a friend of ours that works for Rolling Rubber, a service center here in Cedar. He gave us a break down of the costs and with that, I called Findlay and asked them for a breakdown as well. After all of that, I was able to convince them to give me a deal for a price close to our friends.

All in all we finally got our car back on Wednesday and are now able to get back to our lives. We are grateful for savings, and we are grateful for those that were able to help us. Thank you Thank you, and pray that there are no more problems. Let us relax and enjoy our new place.
