A posting!!!

I know a blog, it is hard to believe but I am blogging. Don't get use to them, I will try to keep up, but don't count on it.

We are great. The boys are all doing well.
Chad is doing great in school! He took a really heavy load this semester (pressure to get done, sorry babe) and has handleld it well. He never complains, even when he is stuck at school till they kick him out of the library. Chad does not really do anything other than school. i keep trying to get him involved else where but he says he just wants to be done and "in his career" I am so blessed to have him!

Braxton turned three and is so big. He is talking so much and can carry on complete converstaions with himself. It's fun to hear him talking on and on about random things, with no one listening, he just talks! Now if I could only get him to potty train!!!!!!!! :(

Michael is a blast, loves to follow his big brother and is getting into such a fun stage. He is kind of a brat though, he has the second child syndrome. He will scream and yell for no apparent reason because he knows it sends mom running. We are working on breaking this habit!

Me I'm crazy! but nothing has changed to much, school rocks. I will have my associates next December which is a semester earlier than planned! I am loving my calling, and really enjoying my friends in the ward. Good girl friends are imperative and I have some Great Friends!

Here are some recent pics of the family

72 Hour Kits

THEY ARE DONE! I have been collecting things for these kits for about 6 months now. They are fully stocked and ready for use.

They each have:
A sleeping bag
food and water for 72hrs
a deck of cards
matches
pocket knife
utensils
can opener
wipes
soap
toothpaste
toothbrush
wash rags
sheet
a first aid kit
a heat element
a whistle
a poncho
a garbage bag
hand sanitizer
toilet paper
flashlight
a list of important info
a radio

I want them all to have a change of clothes and a B of M. but this these I have not gotten. i am so excited. Chad and I plan on using these every summer and then restocking. it feels so good. Of course non of this would have been possible if a wonderful lady in our ward got us these amazing bags for $16 each instead of the $114.00 they retail for, thank you for the inspiration.

In Pain

I woke up this morning with a pain that is not all together unfamiliar to me. Last January i had my gallbladder removed after multiple attacks, but the removal of my gallbladder did not completely stop my pain. Every so often i get the same attacks, they feel like a gallbladder attack but there is no gallbladder to be in pain...the doctor says it is my sphincter of Oddi, a little tube that was attached to my gallbladder that can still spasm. this is what is causing my pain. The only way to make this stop is to go in a cut the sphincter, so it is not a tube anymore. This is a somewhat simple surgery, however your sphincter sits on top of your pancreas and has a 90% chance of causing a pankeratitus.

We will deal, but i tell you what it is so miserable to be here in pain, with no way of knowing when it will stop. Thank goodness these don't happen all that often!

Love you all.

All about me?

Hey hey, two post in one week...maybe I am getting back into this!

I was going to post pictures today so you could all see how beautiful my boys are...but I can not find the cord and all the most recent pictures are on the camera so...no pics sorry.

It has been an eventful week, one that has made me realize a few things;

1. I love the girls in my ward. A few of us got together to celebrate a birthday on Monday night, it was SO fun. I miss just sitting down and "talking" to GIRLS. I love my hubby don't get me wrong, but wow what a difference in conversation style, it's so fun!

2. I am very blessed to be a member of the Church, and to have strong men who understand and are willing to help when needed. The back story to this is long but to make it short my washer went out and two guys in my ward gave up their Monday and Tuesday nights, and this morning to fix it! It is still broken, but they are so willing to come help me any way they can! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! (I do have pictures of this project but again the camera issue)

3. I can handle just about anything if I just keep asking myself..."does this have an eternal impact?" "Will the result of this situation affect mine or my families eternal salvation?" I know lame, but I tell you with the morning/week I had it has REALLY helped.

4. The old saying "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" rings true in my house, and not just because I am stomping around and agitated, but because my kids can truly feel my energy.

5. This one goes along with #4, I need to go to the gym! If I can make it at least once a day I feel the difference. And it sounds funny but if I know I get to go later that evening, I am happier that day.

This post is all about me, sorry no boys. They are alive and well, a little sleep deprived (if you are wondering why read the last post "sleep anyone") but "this to shat pass" Love you all KATY

Sleep anyone?

I have wanted the boys to share a room from day one. I think it is important to share a room with a sibling! You learn so much and it is so important to learn the importance of "sharing". Well i decided to just do it. '

After three days we have had no naps and have fallen asleep where we stand at 9:30-10:00 every night. They are so tired! I just keep telling myself that "the newness will wear off and it will no longer be fun, or exciting", and that "this is just the way it is now, so they will survive!" I am OK, just wish that something that seems to be relatively simple really was!

I have not been able to make it to the gym for the same three days which is adding to my grumpiness. this has not been because of a lack of trying, the gym here in Cedar sucks the big one! Their day care is only open for select times and closes at 6!! Every time I have called they have been closed!! I am fuming, why am I paying for a gym membership with daycare if they are never going to be there to take my kids!!!!! OH I AM GRUMPY!

We bought ourselves a freezer for the garage, it rocks and I love ALL the space, but this morning I went to do my laundry and my washer is making VERY bad noises and wont spin my clothes out! So I have a friend coming to look at it later tonight, he is a handy kind of guy and since my handy man is far away...

But life is not all bad, we are having fun, the boys and I love to go outside, the weather has been great. We like to go on walks, and the new freezer came in a big box that is now a fort in the garage!
My primary kids made me cry on Sunday with their amazing voices, even writing about it now makes me smile!
I am a cupon queen (Holly it rocks I should show you the true way to cupon shop) thanks to a class put on by a friend here is Cedar, I got 6 boxes of kellogs cereal (frootloops, frosted mini wheats, apple jacks, pops) for $.33 each!!!! thats right people 6 boxes of cereal for $2.00. I am waiting for the huggies sale that Brooke says will come, those will be my big ticket items!!!
And I blogged, no pics I'm sorry one step at a time.

Web 2.0 – What does it really mean?

I have to do this for my CSIS 1000 class...it is intro to blog making. Even though I have had a blog for a while! :)

Kind of cool if you like computer stuff. Honestly I think it is amazing what can be done with a computer...but really I don't have any desire to learn how or why a computer does or does not do something? I will that up to people like my Dad and friend Ron, who know and like computer stuff. ;)
