As most of you know I grew up in a very cute little town called Pleasant Grove. I love this little town and would like to one day end up close by, if not in PG. Well every year PG (Pleasant Grove in case you did not get it) has a week long event called Strawberry days, it is great. There is rodeo, carnival, parade, and lots of little things going on all week. We this year I MISSED IT. I really am sad, I love it. I will go next year.
I don't know if any of you have notice but I like to use !!! I think they are fun, and honestly i find my hand reaching to type those before a period!?! So I just want to put and ode out to !! ODE TO YOU!!!!!!
We are good here at the house, Michael is rolling like crazy and really wants to crawl, Braxton is talking so much, and I love it. Chad is just working and I am just hanging out. Chad's mom and step dad came down this last weekend with Andi, his sister, and stayed for a couple days. it was fun to see them and spend time with family.
I know this blog is really random and all over the place. there were lots of thoughts running through my head.

Girls Camp and outside fun
I don't know if I had mentioned yet that i have been given a new calling in church! I am now the 2ND counselor in the young women's. FUN HUH!!!! Well Girls Camp was this last week, because of the short notice i was only to go at night. Thankfully the camp was only fifteen minutes away so every night after putting the boys to bed i would drive out there and stay until late that same night. We are a small group of YW with only four active beehives and three active miamaids, no laurels. I am very excited and really very nervous.
Second we have has a great weekend! Chad worked four tens and was off on Friday, all day we just hung out and played with the boys. Saturday we washed the car and pulled out a new water toy we got for Braxton, it was a great weekend. I have to teach class today and need to read through my lesson again, love you all KATY

Busy Week
Last week was a fun but busy one. Braxton, Michael, and I went up North to "help" with JD. Although JD is such a good baby I really felt useless. It was so good to spend some time with Bobbie and Steph, I really miss all my family. Braxton keeps asking for Parker, and then asks "where'd he go?" he loved playing with the boys, and really loved all the "big boy" toys. My little man is getting too big...
Steph and I had a couple brief conversations regarding my brother- Art this is for you. I don't think Art has any idea how much he meant to me growing up...or how much he means to me now? Art is my all time idle. He would take his 11 year old sister with him tons of places. He would always quiz me on music, I knew more artists and songs by junior high than most. He would always let me hang out with him and his girlfriend at the time. He baptized me, he always tried to include his little sister in his activities, and it is because of Art's involvement that I started to Ballroom dance!!!
Now I watch him play with his own boys, and while we were there I watched him throw Braxton around and even sing him to bed one night when he woke up! THANKS ART. I love you so much and I thought it was time for you to know how much the little things you did for me and with me as a kid really meant A LOT.
Enough sap...Chad has yet to go on any fires, which is OK for the environment but a little stressful for my wallet. Braxton, Michael, and I are just hanging out at home and loving it.
That's all for now. Love you all.

Gardening!

We started a garden with some friends of ours, the Larsen's! SUU offers 12x12 plots on their land, they supply the water and land and you do every thing else. You can also buy starter plants at the SUU green house, six for a dollar. So yesterday Chad, Ron Larsen, and me, went and planted all our plants and put most of our watering system together. We planted, tomatoes, onions, peppers, radishes, cantaloupe, watermelon, pumpkins, squash, cucumbers, basil, cilantro, and dill!! WOW! We are so excited to have some fresh veggies. Really our favorite thing is to make SALSA!!! We planted a lot expecting at least half to die, and we are really using this as a learning year. The wind in Cedar is sooooo bad, and it is so hot, we will water every day for the first while but hopefully things will get to the point that they can survive with just the every three days that SUU will water, the watering system is a "drip system", so that will help but we will see.

syrup anyone
So today I tried a new recipe and in the process almost burnt my house down. OK that is an exaggeration, but it was really smoky in the house for like two hours? My poor boys the fire alarms went off three separate times! ;-)These are my cute buys, so big and smiley Micheal is starting to really grow and develop!

Braxton is also so big, but he has started to pick his nose...it is so gross. Today he took a header off the slide at our friends Leah's house and scrapped his face, it's not that bad but it does go from forehead to chin.

Braxton has never been one to watch TV but recently he really loves BUZZ as you can tell below, he would not pay attention to any thing else.
