Giving Into Positive Peer Pressure!!!

You know when even the Aunt in CA, notices that you have not blog in a while it is time!!! Sorry I've been a slacker, really just lazy.

Chad started school today. 18 credits and he is very ready. The boys and I are just home. Brax wont start pre-school till next year, he birthday is the end of Sept so he misses the dead line. I did not think this would be a big deal, but a lot of his friends are going to school, and he asked yesterday when he started. He is so smart and I have NO DOUBT he would be able to keep up if not surpass a lot of kids in class (Sorry I'm a pride full mommy). But if you know Brax you know he has his mommies temper! He needs a couple extra time to figure things out when he is angry. SO this extra year is going to help us with that.

This conversation between and Brax yesterday was so classic I just have to share-

Braxton- "mom do you want me to stop growing"
I say this to him all the time, he is getting to big and needs to stop growing!!
ME- "Yes"
Braxton- "Then I can't take a nap."
Me- "Why do you say that?"
Braxton- "Because you say that I need to sleep to grow big like dad. SO I should not take a nap!"

You Cant really argue with the logic!!!

Michael is talking so much! He never stops saying things, even if mom has to ask what 10 times he will repeat himself till we get it and understands him. He is my tame sweet boy, and his spirit is undeniable, the nursery leaders always tell me that they don't want him to leave to primary in Jan, he is to good with the other kids, and such a good helper!

Me, I'm 18 days from baby number three and slightly overwhelmed. I just got a calling that I have no doubt will put me into an early grave. Not sustained yet so not going to mention it yet, but I can GUARANTEE I will be calling many of you for support and love and suggestions!

That's us right now, nothing to exciting.
love you all

These pics were taken by a very sweet talented photographer in Cedar, she sent me an e-mail saying she wanted to help Chad and I remember this time of our lives even with all the stresses! So she gave a free shot, it was so cool to sit and laugh and talk to my sweet heart

These are two of my favorites, but there are so many more at http://noellereynolds.com/index2.php#/rgallery3/8/

Allthough I really feel like my face is huge!!!! I love this picture, my hubby is amazing and always can get me to smile!

This photo is cute and I think belongs in a magazine! So Humble! :)

New job

Life has just gotten a little easier. CHAD GOT A JOB!!! He is going to be working at a trouble youth facility in Enoch! Our bishop is the boss, and I think Chad will do VERY well there. The best part is he will be able to work with this job next semester for school! It is going to be very nice. We want to try to work it out so that he works weekends and swing shifts this summer, then I can continue to work and we can maybe save some money, not just pay our bills. :0 what a thought. ;)

Life and tender mercies

The Huntsman house has been good.

Braxton is doing great. We almost having the potting training thing down. He will not poop in the potty? I hear this is normal, but I it does not make it any easier. He is also really strugging with bounderies. He wants to big. He has some friends in the ward that show up at the house and ask him to play. I have not problems with this, in fact I love that he has friends, I am not OK with him just going where ever. I have to be outside with him, or I have to know he is being watched by another mom. Is this over protective?

Micheal Micheal is still so sweet. He has the kindest heart. I pray it is a quality that lasts for life. He is getting so smart, and can get into just about anything, no matter whats in his way. He is a mommies boy, with no protests from me, and would rather sit by mom or on mom than anyone else. He is always willing to give kisses and hugs, and loves to be helpful. I am worried how little man will adjust when number three comes but...we will just have to wait and see.

Chad is good. Still searching for a job. But let me tell you he is trying hard. I know he stresses not having a job, and I KNOW he would rather be working than home playing Mr. MOM. However the boys have had fun having him around more.

I am good. I am working more until Chad finds something for a job so I am at work 4 days a week. I know it is not much but it wears me out. My lower back is still giving me so real issues and have yet to find a solution? It's OK though. We are 23 weeks, getting fat, and trying not TO stress about that. The tender Mercies part of this blog is from me, and the idea is borrowed by my sweet cousin Mickey. I doubt I will be good enough to update every week like she does but this specific experience deserves sharing.

Because we are on only one income we are slightly strapped for money. I know I know, whats new right. Preaching to the choir, who is not strapped for money right now? Anyway, yesterday at work I had a slight melt down. I know hard to believe that I would do something like that but;) I have a certain amount of money I have to earn each shift and it was not going to happen yesterday. I spazzed. Called Chad crying and complaining and my great husband said what to often comes out of his mouth "Katy, did we pay our tithing?" "YES" "Are we living the way the Lord would ask?" "YES" "Then why are you stressing?" "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR". I know he is right and we have had proof more times than I could ever tell. But it always seem to be a lesson I am learning, to rely on the Lord and remember it is HIS WILL ans HIS TIMING, not mine.

I got a table and went out to serve them the best I could. My next table was a sweet older couple I had served before. After visiting for a moment my customer mentioned his High Council members faithfulness and inturn informed me they were LDS. We talked and the coversation went to their story, one that is common today. They had a lot and were doing well, then the economy hit and they lost almost everything. Including their business, their cars and almost their home. But this brother turned to me and said in almost the exact same wording, what I had heard from my AMAZING hubby not ten minutes earlier. Of course the tears started and I apologized to the couple telling them that my hormones for my pregnancy were crazy. But the spirit was undeniable.

The Lord is incredible. In the middle of an IHOP in Cedar City, He choose to show me a tender mercy. He has such patients. The same lesson as many times as it takes to learn it. Maybe this time will do the trick? I am grateful for faithful members of our church who will listen to the promptings of the spirit. I am grateful for our Savior and His plan, and for the tender ways he chooses to teach us!!! And most of all today I am grateful for my amazing hubby who never seems to get angry or frustrated with my growing testimony. He is truly an amazing man, and has a spirit and faith, that I can rely on and grow from. I love you Chad.

OK so this is long sorry. Love you all. KATY

School

We are one week away from the end...of the semester! I will be taking the fall off to have our sweet baby boy number three, but I'll go back in the fall of 2011 and finish my associates. Chad will also be done that semester so from there?
I'm so happy in our current situation, I think I would be OK never leaving Cedar City. The likelihood of Chad finding a job here in Cedar is slim, so we will most likely be leaving but where too? only God knows that. ;)

both boys are good.

Some confusion

I am pregnant yes, but we do not know what it is. Next Friday we go in for the show!! I am willing it to be female! I need some pink, and better odds!
I really want someone to watch the Miss America pageant with, I want to be obsessed with hair bows, and really I want Chad to know the bond that little girls get with their daddy!
My dad is a great guy and the connection is really a cool thing. Chad is such a great dad to his boys, but a little girl would drasticly alter the feeling of our house.
So no it is not a girl for sure, and really my gut says its another boy, but i can still hope until the last second and the little man appears. ;) Love you all keep you informed.

As long as the pics don't look like this I will be happy!!

A lack of blogging

I am sure you have all noticed that my blogging record has been less than exemplary...I am sitting at school (not doing my music assignment) and trying to figure out why. In all honesty I can not give you a good excuse. School is tough and my family is very busy yes, but people still manage an occasional update, me not so much! :) I hope to get better when the semester is over, but no guarantees.

Chad is doing well in school. I think. I hope? Uh maybe I should ask him ;) Due to multiple things he will not be retuning to fires this year. We are very excited about this and slightly apprehensive about how we are going to pay for our last year of school with out that fire season savings account. But if I have learned anything in my 5 years married to Chad, it's that as long as we are doing what the Lord asks, we don't need to stress. What a blessing my man is, he always has this reassuring aura about him and I know it is because of his faith in the Lord and His plan for us.

Me...uh...I'm good. I am getting fat. I know that your are thinking "well duh hunny, your pregnant!" but really I don't like it. Take it from some one who took a solid year and lost 65 pounds, the thought of being big again is really discouraging. But as funny as it sounds even in this little trail, I have faith. I know this wonderful soul needs to be part of OUR family, and I KNOW that NOW is when it needs to come, so...I have faith the the Lord will help me get back to where i want to be when all is said and done.

Braxton is great! SO SMART. Really, i know all mom's say that and I know i am biased but he amazes me every single day. Yesterday day he brought me his leap frog learning pad, and on it he had spelled the word MOM.
He says "mom do you know what this spells" in a very teacher like way
I responded with "yes Brax I do. Do you?"
he laughed at me and said "M-O-M spells mom!"
I just about died, gave him a huge hug and kiss and he went on his way! My mom told me from day one that knowing the phonics of a letter was almost as important as knowing the look of the letter, and we have worked on that with our kids. It has paid off. I can not wait to see what will become of my little man.

Michael is so big. He wants to be just like his brother and is talking up a storm. He has a very large vocabulary but on top of that he is working on bigger words, every time I say something to him he tries to copy me. Brother or "BRO" in his words, is his favorite thing to say. We are working on colors right now, he is getting it I think...every color is "geen" (green) we correct and tell him it's purple to which he response "purptle" or no it is yellow he says "blelow" it is a lot of fun.

That's us, who knows when the next post will come. However the semester is done in a month so who knows.
