Braxton has been a very unhappy boy! Thursday night was hard! Braxton was up two or three times crying for mom and dad. So Friday morning I took him into the doctors, at about 5am that morning Chad I discussed going into the ER, but we had made it all night and only had 3 more hours till the doctors and that was a cheaper option so...
Well he has a flaming ear infection in the left ear. The doctor then informed me that he was going to prescribed some antibiotics but also some ear numbing stuff. My doc told me that they are finding that kids are building immunities to the antibiotics quicker then they use to, and that most of the time the ear infections will clear it's self up with thin the five days that they are taking the drug any way, without the drug, it is really just the pain that is causing the kids discomfort.
So we have just been doing the numbing stuff to see if the ear infection will heal it's self. If it is not noticeably better by tomorrow then we are starting the antibiotics. But any way Braxton has not been a happy camper.
Any one who knows my boy, knows he goes 100 miles per hour. He is my boy, two switches on or off. Well he has been off. Wants to be cuddled and held, wont eat, wont sleep, wont take any medicine! He cried for an hour straight this afternoon, with nothing Chad or I could do to make it better.
He wakes up in the morning appearing to be doing much better, but then by noon, he is curled up on his "couch" tugging at his ear, and it seems to just get worse as the day rolls on. Great Grandma Jane gave Braxton this little couch that converts into bed for Christmas, and Braxton has spent the last two days curled up with his bear and lovey covered in blankets on that couch. We keep watching the same movies but I am really just glad he is not crying those few hours we do.
He is sleeping now, but we will see how long that lasts!
Sorry for the no shirt in the pictures, he was burning up and would not take medicines so i strip him down.
Love you all KATY
On a happier Braxton note, he is saying prayers...Friday he was lying on the couch not feeling good and I hear this little voice "Heavenly Father"... inaudible... "Feel better"
...inaudible... "amen". I about died at how cute it was. I love to watch him do things that I have worked so hard to teach him. My friend Holly put it the best..
