Update

My first picture with all three boys! Caden is month old, it's late, but I still got one.
We are good. The Huntsman household is a little busier than usual, but that is to be expected! In nine days we will be moving!!!! I am still Primary Pres. and really feel like I could do this calling well! I love the kids!

Although I know they will have to release me (we are leaving ward boundaries) I'm glad I know I have at least one more week there. The calling is very trying, just this last Sunday I came home in tears, the kids are amazing, and really like to talk. I feel that reverence is our number one priority, so for the next few weeks that is our goal.

I realize that you all really want to know how the kiddies are doing, so...They are great. We went to the new house to take some measurements, and the boys loved it. Braxton keeps asking when we are going to the new house with the stairs. I keep trying to repeat that we will not be coming back to this house, and that one will be our house from now on. I don't think they get it, and it may be a non issue, I just don't want any surprises.Caden is amazing, and getting HUGE!!! I feel like he will Braxton's age and telling me NO, tomorrow!

I sent an e-mail to family, but in case I missed someone, or there are friends who would like to join us, we are blessing Caden on the 7th of November at 9am in our home ward here in Cedar.
Chad is great, school is going well, and he seems to be doing OK. The job situation has been a little better, a few more shifts a week. But because he is on call he gets crazy hours. He work Monday night grave, then went to school all day. He did not go to bed till nine on Tuesday night!!!! But it's a shift.
I told the boys to give the baby a kiss. My camera took too long to get the picture. They looked too funny not to post!

P.S. This entire blog was done with one hand, the other was occupied by a sleeping baby boy!! :)

Interesting

A friend of mine on FB with a tween daughter posted this question. I found it very interesting and would like to get some feed back. What do you think?

"I was talking to my daughter about how it's important to dress modestly because of the thoughts it brings into guys' heads when we don't. I told her that pretty much all guys were this way, and that the good ones had to WORK and not being...--... it's just the way they are made. She didn't believe me, and asked me how I could possibly know, since I'm not a guy. Then she asked an interesting question. She said, "IF that's true, mom, IF... how come so many dads don't care if their daughters dress that way?" She had a really good point there. It really does seem like most men don't even explain to their daughters why they might not WANT to dress immodestly, let alone try to get them not to. So my question is: Why would a loving father not mind when his daughter dressed immodestly if he knew what thoughts it was going to bring into other guys' heads? Wouldn't he want to protect his daughter from that? After all, most young girls don't really understand how things work with guys. I know I didn't when I was a young teenager (not to say I fully do even now!), and my 13-year-old daughter not only doesn't understand, but doesn't believe me when I try to tell her. Or is that just a stereotype? Does it really not affect most guys when a girl dresses immodestly? What are your thoughts? And feel free to repost this, because I'd like to get a lot of different viewpoints."

Living examples

"Have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need? Have I cheered up the sad, made someone feel glad? If not I have failed indeed."

I don't know if I have ever have mentioned my grandpa and grandma Coombs before. They are my moms parents and really great people.

One time while visiting them in CA, my grandfather came down the stairs singing this song. (note above) This visit was so many years ago, I can not even remember the date, but my grandfathers voice is still crisp and clear in my mind.

I have my days of self pity. I think we all do. But mine have been more often than not lately. When the days seem overly selfish, my grandfather pops into my brain. I don't even have to ask, it is a reflex.

I want to thank my grandpa for giving me this living example. I love all my grandparents and really could not ask for better examples of how to live.
