RSV!?!

I took Michael into the doctor this morning, after a rough night. He Had been coughing and it sounded really Flemmy and in his chest, I thought it was really just the same cold as Braxton and I wanted to catch it before it turned into something more serious. The doctor took his temp and it was not way high but high enough to make him want to test. After they sent us to the hospital for test, they stuck a tube up his nose and sucked all the nasty snot out, then let me know they would give me a call with the results. About an hour or so later the doctor called and said the Michael did have RSV. He said he was shocked because of the way the baby was acting, but if you know my kids they just don't show sickness...

The doctor said Michael really should not leave the house at all, and that he expected it to get worse before it gets better. If his temp shoots, he does not eat, or his breathing gets more labored, we have to take him straight in. I am so grateful I took the time I did from work if I had not I would be going back next Wednesday! I am sure he will be fine you just always hear those stories about babies and RSV so it makes me worry a little more. Any way love you all that was our day. KATY

A Huntsman Family update

It has been a long while since we have written. Life is great. We are still adjusting with having two little boys, but overall it is great. Michael is HUGE!!! He weights 12 lbs and is only 4 weeks old, he is doing so great and I love having a tiny little one again. Braxton is starting to get the hang of this older brother stuff. He has picked up a few new words like, "No" and "Again" that are really helping with the communication. And thank you to those who gave advice, we now have Braxton "help" with the baby, and "share" with the baby. He is doing so much better.

Chad is going to give his stats class one more week, he got a tutor and a couple of friends that have taken the class before, but if he can't spend the time on it that he feels he needs to, then he will withdrawal and take it with a lighter schedule next semester. I am fully behind this decision. i would rather he drop it and pass every thing else then stress it and do poorly in other classes.

Before I go I just have to comment on the passing of President Gordan B Hinkley. We had friends over last night, we were all playing Monopoly and I conveniently lost in time to watch my show...I know its pathetic, anyway. i turn on the TV just as channel five is breaking the news. I literally gasped and then in a some what yell said "President Hinkley died!". It really was unreal, he is the only prophet I truly remember. I was 8 years old when he became the prophet. Such an amazing man, truly a messenger of the Lord, and he will be missed, i have a picture of President Hinkley on my wall. Its not very popular, it is a candid shot taken with him in his trench coat and hat. I love the way he looks so personable. Such and amazing man with a huge heart. I can only think of how happy his wife must be to finally be reunited with her love. Love you all KATY

Walmart?

We tried to go to Walmart to pick some things up...with two kids neither big enough to walk on their own. We needed a cart for the kids and another for our purchases?! One of the many things I am sure will be different now with two. Any time Chad or I go to run errands, or go some where we can have kids we always take one kid and leave one kid with the other. I am so grateful for a fantastic hubby that has so much patients and loves his boys so much.

Michael is getting really big. He weighs 10.1 lbs, and is 21.5 inches tall. It is great to have another little one. Braxton is most definitely still adjusting but getting better. We found that part of his whining is due to the fact that we are finally cutting another tooth. This is a good thing, because at 16 months he has only had four teeth cut through. This makes eating food very difficult, so now we have one more to help with all the chewing.

Chad is doing well in school, and says he feels pretty good about the coming semester after the first week. He does have statistics class that he is afraid is going to take more time then he really wants to give, but he will, and I have no doubt he will do GREAT. We are coming up to Utah county this next weekend for the first time in a long time. We are so excited to see family!!! Love you all. KATY

Suggestions

OK so I blog previously that I do not think the transition with new baby was going to be to difficult...I was so wrong! I don't know if it is his age, 15 months, or the new baby and lack of mommy attention, but Braxton has gone crazy!!!!! He whines at EVERYTHING. he will seriously walk into our bed room throw himself onto the bed and start to cry? I have no doubt that part of it is the fact that every three hours I am detained with feedings, but we are trying to give him lots of love and attention.

This blog is an SOS to all you who have two kids close, Steph, Kay, Kristin, Holly, and really to any one else who may have any suggestions. What can we do? How do we teach him not to throw the fits? How do we handle him once the fit has set on? I may snap :) I love my boy and I know we are just in a transitional state right now, but I need so help on how to make it through the entire thing.

Any way other than that we are all great. Michael had so Jaundice issues but nothing to serious and we are on the down hill slop of that. Chad is loving the fact that he is not in school till Monday, and it has been really nice to have him home for a week with the new baby. I am doing really great and feel SO great not to pregnant any more. We love you all and hope things are going OK for you all . KATY

PS. No computer, no syrup.
